East Riding Schools’ Music Service
Quality Standard
- Like turnign on a lightbulb. Collaborative learning/teaching works really well. It was excellent!
- Really inspiring!
- It was amazing.
- Flower opening. Learners bring so much more to lessons than we think, and give.
- Loosening the controls and the top-down approach – getting the learner to be in charge of their journey.
- I’m excited to see how I can cede more ‘control’ of my pupils’ learning to them. I can see how succeeding at this would really enliven the whole learning experience and could directly affect elements such as engagement and behaviour and really develp them as individual musicians.
- Brilliant throughout.
- Climbing a mountain – mentally taxing at times, but toward the end of the session when the collaborative ideas came together it was much easier to see the ultimate goal! Really enjoyable and motivating session. I loved the anecdodes from Tony as they were relatable/relevant/inspirational.
- Being able to evaluate/reflect on my teaching with a more open mind and feeling that improvement is possible and achievable. Feeling motivated to try new things in a bit to improve.
- Today felt empowering. I enjoyed the real-life examples showing how things can be achieved.
